The Caribbean Ministry

 

 

 

The Caribbean Ministry at Mount Zion AME Church was formed to introduce and integrate the flavor of the Caribbean into the congregation. Ours is primarily a music ministry. However, our members are involved in all aspects of the worship experience at the church.

The highlight of our church year is our annual Caribbean festival held the end of October. During this weekend we feature a Caribbean style dinner, fashion show and Gospel concert. The following day is our annual day and we invite a guest preacher from the Caribbean region to bring us the word.

Finally, during periods of climatical disturbances in the Caribbean region we monitor the current situations. This enables us to share information regarding the conditions. Wherever possible we assist in relief efforts being arranged by the church.
