Reverend Kanice D. Johns

The Reverend Kanice D. Johns has been in the ministry for 16 years.  She has held the position of Pastor for 13 of those years.  She is currently the Pastor of Mt. Zion A.M.E Church in Norristown, PA.; which is her 3rd pastoral charge. Through her relationship with God, Mount Zion continues to grow.   both spiritually and physically

 

Rev. Johns is the wife of Brother Timothy Johns and mother of five children:  Mark, Morehouse College graduate; Genice, 4th year Temple University student; Kara, 3rd year Jackson State University student, Jackson, MS, Joy, age 10 and Faith, age 8.  She is also the daughter of Rev. Dr. LeRoy Attles and Dr. Henrietta Attles who reside in Cambridge, MA; where her father is the pastor of St. Paul A.M.E.

 

Rev. Johns received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Morgan State University, her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston University, and her Master’s of Divinity Degree from Harvard University.

Rev. Johns has been blessed throughout her entire life by almighty God.  As an example for Christ, she shares those blessing with others.  Rev. Johns believes in preaching God’s Word, teaching God’s Word, and reaching out to God’s people in an effort to give God the glory.  For she knows as Romans 8:28 records, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
